Get practical support when everyday life is becoming harder to manage

Tell us who needs support, what is becoming difficult and what you would like to make easier — we can help you understand whether Empower YOUth may be a suitable fit and what happens next.

You don't need to know the programme name, NDIS category or exact service before you contact us.

Who can enquire?

Children, young people and families are at the centre of our work. Depending on the support required, some services extend from early childhood through adulthood.

You can enquire if you are:

  • looking for support for yourself
  • a parent or caregiver
  • a kinship or foster carer
  • supporting a family member
  • exploring NDIS support
  • looking for private support
  • unsure which service may fit

You might be contacting us because

  • home life has become difficult
  • behaviour is putting pressure on relationships
  • someone is having difficulty with regulation or coping
  • school participation has become harder — refusal, anxiety, suspension concerns or managing the day
  • a parent or carer wants practical support
  • respite is being considered
  • daily living or community participation is difficult
  • several services are involved and it is unclear what is missing
  • the current approach is no longer working as well as it needs to

What happens after you enquire?

  1. Tell us the basics

Let us know who needs support, the suburb, what is happening and how to contact you.

  2. We consider fit and capacity

The team reviews the request against service scope, location and current capacity.

  3. We contact you

If the enquiry appears to be a possible fit, we clarify the support required and explain the next step.

  4. Detailed intake at the right stage

Health, medication, risk and other sensitive information may be needed before support begins.

  5. Support is agreed

Where service fit is confirmed, we discuss service type, practitioner fit, funding or private costs, scheduling and the service agreement.

  6. We get started

Support begins once the required information, consent and documentation are in place and capacity has been confirmed.

Funding and costs

Empower YOUth works through NDIS, other referral arrangements and private funding. For NDIS-funded services, suitability depends on the participant’s plan, goals and the support being requested.

Not using NDIS funding? Tell us how the service is expected to be funded. If you don’t know yet, you can still make an initial enquiry.

Tell us a little about the support you are looking for

The first enquiry should make the next step clearer, not add more stress. Start with the basics — if Empower YOUth appears to be a possible fit, we will explain what information is needed next.

Empower YOUth support

Please don't include detailed medical, medication or risk information in this first form. If your enquiry progresses, we'll give you a secure way to share that.

You don't need to wait for things to get worse

You can make an enquiry while you are still working out what support is needed. Empower YOUth works with people and families at different stages, including situations involving significant complexity, and will tell you whether the support you need is within our scope.

If we work together, the person receiving support and, where relevant, their family or carers have a meaningful say in how support is shaped. If circumstances change or become difficult, we aim to keep communicating, review what is happening and adapt where appropriate within the agreed service and scope.
Empower YOUth is not an emergency service. If someone is in immediate danger, call 000.
