R.E.S.T.
Goal-based respite to give families breathing room with the participant’s goals still in view.
Room to breathe
Respite can give families and carers valuable space. R.E.S.T. combines planned respite with support that keeps the participant’s agreed needs and goals in view.
Depending on the agreed goals and service fit, R.E.S.T. may support a safe and structured change of environment, regulation and coping, meaningful participation, confidence in routines, practical living skills and continuity with agreed care-team goals.
R.E.S.T. may include respite accommodation, goal-based support, meaningful activities, routine and participation support, relationship-based support and care-team coordination where required. Current ratios, accommodation model and eligibility are confirmed before the service is agreed.
