Empower YOUth’s registered charity creates community and earlier-support opportunities that can sit outside standard individual service agreements. Donations, grants, sponsorship and partnerships can help fund defined activity that would otherwise be difficult to provide.

Not every useful form of support arrives with funding attached
A young person may be beginning to disengage from school. A parent or carer may need practical coaching before every difficult transition becomes a crisis point. A youth programme may need a venue, facilitator, materials or subsidised places. A young adult may need a supported way to build routine and work experience.
Those are the kinds of gaps charitable and community funding can help address.
What charitable support can make possible
Charitable funding, sponsorship, grants and in-kind support can help create opportunities beyond individual funded service arrangements. The examples below show the kinds of activity and resources this support may enable. What is available at any given time depends on current priorities and funding.

L.A.B. to Table is an example of the kind of community initiative external funding can help make possible through the Empower YOUth L.A.B. It illustrates how community funding can support practical activity outside individual service arrangements. Delivery depends on funding, current priorities and programme planning.

Support the Empower YOUth L.A.B
The L.A.B is Empower YOUth’s physical community space in Templestowe Lower and provides a base for community and earlier-support activity. External funding, sponsorship and in-kind support can help with its operation, programme and activity costs, resources and continued development.
Current funding opportunity
Practical family support before pressure becomes harder to manage
Empower YOUth has developed a proposed P.A.T.H Pilot focused on proactive support for parents and caregivers, including kinship and foster-care contexts. The proposed model centres on practical home-based support such as caregiver coaching, recognising early signs that stress is building, planning difficult transitions and handovers, co-regulation and de-escalation, and building more consistent approaches around the family.

Eligible donations are tax deductible in accordance with the organisation’s DGR status. Sponsorship packages, event tickets or purchases are not automatically tax-deductible gifts simply because the organisation has DGR status.
