Support outside the usual classroom environment
UpB.E.A.T is designed for students aged 6–16 whose connection with school has become difficult — school refusal or anxiety, suspension or exclusion risk, disrupted learning, or classroom and emotional regulation needs that are affecting school participation.
It provides structured time and support outside the usual classroom environment, with the aim of helping the student settle, rebuild routine, practise useful skills and work towards a realistic return to greater school participation.
The current model includes co-regulation and emotional de-escalation, restorative approaches after difficult school experiences, small-group action-based learning, routine-building and social-emotional coaching, across morning, afternoon and full-day streams.
UpB.E.A.T is a support and re-engagement programme, not a replacement school. Potential funding pathways may include school funding, NDIS or private parent arrangements, depending on eligibility, the support being provided and the agreed arrangement.
